Artistic Director: Bill Perrot Bill Perrot graduated from Westminster Choir College in 1975. He has been involved in school, church and community choirs since his arrival in Nova Scotia. He has been active in the Nova Scotia Choral Federation since its inception in 1976, serving three terms as its president. He is a Charter Life Member of the Association of Canadian Choral Communities and has served on its board as the coordinator of the National Youth Choir. Bill studied conducting with the late Dr. Elmer Iseler and with Wayne Riddell. Bill conducted the Annapolis Valley Honour Choir since 1998 when he took over from founding conductor Ross Thompson. Bill is also the founding conductor of Kings Chorale, a community choir now in its 27th year. In addition he has conducted the Acadia University Chorus, the Acadia Vocal Ensemble, the NSCF Youth Choir Camp, and various workshops in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. He has prepared choirs for Symphony Nova Scotia performances as well as concerts with the Nova Scotia Youth orchestra. In 1994 he was the Master Conductor for the Rotary Youth Choir in Halifax, now the Nova Scotia Youth Choir. In May of 2008 Bill was given the Alumni Merit Award from Westminster Choir College for his work with choirs, particularly youth choirs, in Nova Scotia. Last month Bill took 30 members of Kings Chorale to New York to participate in a performance at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center of The Armed Man: A Mass for peace by Karl Jenkins. He is very pleased to have been appointed as the second Artistic Director of Nova Voce.
 

Associate Artistic Director: Bryan Crocker Bryan is also musician in residence at the Dalhousie Medical School and conductor of the Dalhousie Medical School Chorale. His "day job" is with Capital Health as manager of the Laboratory Information System in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. After his B.Sc. (Chem) from Dalhousie University, he added a diploma in Medical Technology from NSCC-IT, and has been employed at Capital Health for 25 years as a Medical Technologist. In his spare time, while not at work or on call, Bryan is busy with a wide range of musical endeavors. Building on his early musical training in piano (Royal Conservatory - Grade 9) to his saxophone training through the Dartmouth school system and Dalhousie University, Bryan has recently completed three levels of a choral conducting course offered by the BC Choral Federation. As well as his efforts with Nova Voce and the Dalhousie Medical School, Bryan continues to be actively involved in the Halifax musical community, playing saxophone in a number of bands including the Sackville Community Band, the Tuesday Night Band and the medical school's Tupper Band. In the past Bryan has been hired to play with The Temptations, The Spinners, the Moscow Circus Orchestra, and Rosemary Clooney, to name a few.

Artistic Director Emeritus: Terry Hurrell After training as a music educator in England, Terry and his wife, Stephanie, came in 1967 to Nova Scotia, where he became deeply involved in the music scene here. An educator, innovator, musical director and vocalist, Terry found his niche in choral music. He has been the founding musical director of such diverse groups as the Lockeport Male Choir, the Liverpool Boys' Choir, the Halifax Boys' Honour Choir, the Queens County Community Choir, the Nova Scotia Youth Chamber Choir and two church handbell choirs. In January 2004 Terry helped form Nova Voce and was its founding artistic director. After leading the choir in some 100 concerts and other appearances, and the recording of two well-received CDs, Terry retired at the end of 2010 and was named the choir's Artistic Director Emeritus.

Accompanist: Lynn Pelton Lynn Pelton is a graduate of Mt. Allison University, majoring in performance and Music History. She has been accompanist for several local choirs and instrumental groups, including the Aeolian Singers, the N.S. Youth Choir, Halifax County Girls’ Choir, Halifax City Elementary Girls’ Honor Choir and the Nova Scotia Choral Federation choir camps. She was a former Music teacher with the Halifax Regional School Board and has conducted several school choirs that won numerous awards at the Nova Scotia Kiwanis Music Festival. In addition to accompanying Nova Voce, she is employed as accompanist for HRSB East Youth Voices and Musical Friends.
 

Concert Manager: Gina Sanford Gina is passionate about music, as a soloist, choir member and choral conductor. Working with Nova Voce is one of many volunteer positions that she enjoys, where her diligence and good humour has earned her the love and respect of the Nova Voce family. Gina sits on the Boards of Nova Voce and The Nova Scotia Choral Federation. You can also find her assisting travellers at the Halifax Airport as a member of The Tartan Team.
